2007 IPLOCA Health and Safety Award Winners

The 2007 IPLOCA Health and Safety Award sponsored by Chevron was presented during the annual Convention held in Athens in recognition of a significant achievement in this area.

John Truhe of Chevron made the presentation and addressed the members of the audience about the "Chevron Pipe Line Company Contractor Safety Program". To view his presentation, please click here.

The committee decided to present the award to Bonatti S.p.A., in recognition of their great work in the Sicilian Gasline, Montalbano-Messina Tranche.

In recognition of its members' commitment to health and safety IPLOCA named three runners-up (in alphabetical order):

Heerema Marine Contractors,
represented by John Reed, for their safety culture change programme (HMC Incident and Injury Free).   

McConnell Dowell, as part of the Southern Regional Water Pipeline Alliance,
represented by Georgina Day, for their excellent safety outcomes. 
 
 

Tekfen Construction and Installation,
represented by Osman Birgili, for their Journey Management System and reduction in road traffic accidents.
