The 2014 IPLOCA Health and Safety Award sponsored by Chevron was presented during the annual Convention held in Abu Dhabi in recognition of a significant achievement in this area.

The Committee decided to present the award to Saipem S.p.A., represented by Daslav Brkic, Andrea Forzan and Rocco Sainato, in recognition of their "Leading Behaviours" Campaign.

The reasons why the Adjudication Committee made this award are the following:

  • It is a good combination between behaviour based safety and integrated cultural engineering.
  • It involves a cascaded message through the organisation from the CEO to the whole company.
  • It has a clear mapping of organisation behaviours.
  • It involves an effective use of multimedia to achieve objectives.
