2014 Environmental Award Winners

The 2014 IPLOCA Environmental Award sponsored by Shell was presented during the Annual Convention held in Abu Dhabi in recognition of a significant achievement in reducing the impact on the environment for the construction of pipeline projects.

The Environmental Award Adjudication Committee decided to award it to Heerema Marine Contractors Nederland SE, represented by Simonette Lentze for their Noise Mitigation During Pile Driving Initiative.

The reasons the panel made this award are the following:

  • it demonstrates easily identifiable results
  • it is applicable elsewhere
  • it is a simple application with high outcome
